Spontaneity – 2010
The 2030 Group is in spontaneity Mode, which is to say we are not currently schedule meetings regularly. This is because of a number of transitions busy schedules and whatnot. In the mean time, members of 2030 from time to time can invite each other to events, or sponsor a meeting for the whole group. After the scheduling turbulence, we may go to a planned schedule.

Update on Plans
We met on January 31 and discussed how we want 2010 to look for 20s&30s
We read through an article that talks about the 4 things that small groups at church need
- Nurture,
- Community,
- Worship
- Mission
We circled things we agreed with, and crossed out things we didn’t agree with.
We liked the 4 categories and decided incorporate parts from all four.
(People liked the idea of more service (maybe some projects around Bethany) and/or having a music hangout.)
We decided to have 1 major event a month, leaving opportunities for other activities during the rest of the month.

Spontaneous December
Hi, we have put our creative hats on and decided to have a Spontaneous December. Rather than adding more events to the Holiday Season, we are encouraging members of the group to do things with each other, spontaneously, as you would like. Here is the official version:
A Modest Proposal for 2030 Group:
for November and December
- Connect with someone in the group
- Consider what your mission is
- Conceive how being in a community can help
In January we will review our ideas, decide what is important for 20s30s group and budget our time.
Group Dialogue – Part 3
I was just at a meeting with an “organic house church” planter named Desi Starr, who sort of fell into this kind of church work. He said that “the church” is where
- Christ is the head
- We are a family
- We are on mission
I think those three statements could be used to guide the 2030 group. I think of it as “up, in and out”.
He had some other things about their “gatherings” and their one to one meetings. Here are a couple of links www.Lk10.com and www.denverchurch.net
